January 2022
I acquired this tree from Ed Clark in January 2022. He had extracted it from the ground, and I performed some trunk chops. I then repotted it into a Tokoname training pot and left it mostly untouched, except for providing fertilizer and some minor cutbacks to help it regain its vigor.

March 2022
Repot to a Tokoname training pot and let it grow for a year.

August 2023
The tree has recovered quite well, and I will now transition to refinement techniques. I’ve observed that cutbacks don’t yield consistent branch bifurcation in pomegranates. Therefore, next year, I plan to experiment with defoliation instead.
