I bought this amazing tree from Bert, who’s been doing bonsai for over 15 years. It’s his oldest tree, and he decided to sell it because he’s retiring and returning to his home country. I was lucky to be there when he sold it. I promised him that I’d make sure this tree gets showcased someday.
The plan for this tree is to let it grow for one year and next year will repot it to check its roots and start the process on reducing its root ball to fit a smaller pot.

I perform full defoliation in August, and it responded really well. The new leaves are small, and it sprouted a lot of new buds.
