I bought this tree from Ed Clark in March 2021 when it was just a bush. The main reason I got it was because I was searching for a Miyogi style tree, and it had the kind of movement I was looking for. I left it alone for a year to see how it would respond to my local conditions.
March 2022
I performed the initial styling of the tree with the same goal in mind, creating a Miyogi style bonsai. I repotted it into a Tokoname Training pot using bonsai soil mixes. After styling, my plan is to let this tree be for a year and not make any further adjustments until the fall 2023.
